Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles to improve the look of moderate to severe lines between the eyebrows, across the forehead  or at the side of the eyes — crow’s feet. It is temporary, lasting 3 months or more. Botox is an anti-aging medication used to get rid of unwanted wrinkles.

1Who gets Botox?
Botox® is a great choice for those with frown lines and fine lines who want a more vibrant, confident, and natural appearance without surgery and with minimal downtime.
2What areas are most commonly treated?
Areas most commonly treated are the forehead lines, crows feet and glabellar area.
3What is the “downtime” after the procedure?
There is usually no downtime associated with botox treatment. Normal activities can be resumed following treatment. However, we recommend to refrain from exercise and lying down for 6 hours post treatment. We also recommend not wearing hats or headbands or any other garment that would apply pressure to areas treated.
4When will I see results?
Results can be observed with as little as 5-7 days but often take up to 2 weeks and will usually last up to 4 months. To maintain results, repeat treatments should occur every 4 months.

Similar to Botox, Xeomin is an anti-wrinkle prescription medication injected into facial muscles to temporarily diminish and prevent moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows otherwise know as the glabellar region, crows feet and forehead lines.

1Who gets Xeomin?
Xeomin s a great choice for those with frown lines and fine lines who want a more vibrant, confident, and natural appearance without surgery and with minimal downtime.
2Is Xeomin the same as Botox?
They are extremely similar and deliver almost identical results but here are a few key differences between the two:
  1. Xeomin contains less accessory proteins and therefore patients are less likely to form antibodies to it, therefore, less likely to have an allergic reaction. This is also why patients are less likely to become resistant to Xeomin.
  2. Xeomin works a little bit faster due to the fact that it is not complexed with proteins. The body does not have to waste time breaking down added proteins and therefore, Xeomin can bind to muscles right away creating the anti aging effects faster.
  3. Xeomin can be stored at room temperature while Botox must be refrigerated.

Jeuveau is the newest anti aging injectable approved by the FDA. Like its predecessors Botox and Xeomin, Jeuveau is used for treating the glabellar region, crows feet and forehead lines to create a more youthful and natural looking appearance.

1Who gets Jeuveau?
Like Botox and Xeomin, Jeuveau is a great choice for those with glabellar lines, crows feet and forehead lines.
2How does Jeuveau work?
Jeuveau works by binding to the muscle receptors in facial muscles and this prevents your nerves from telling the muscle to flex. This process relaxes the muscles and therefore reduces the appearance of wrinkles or lines. Similar to Botox or Xeomin treatment, this procedure is quick and painless and only requires minutes to complete.
3What are the side effects?
Like similar injectables, there might be minimal bruising, tenderness, swelling or redness at the injection site but this soon resolves. You can also develop a mild headache, eyelid drooping, or upper respiratory infection. These side effects often subside after a few days. You should not use Jeuveau or other injectables if you pregnant or breastfeeding.
4How long will my results last?
Like similar injectables, you will notice some results in 5-7 days and full results in 14 days. Results often last 3-4 months and after that, a repeat treatment is required.
